Unbelievable. I have gotten into some wild adventures, but this one takes the cake. Long story short, on my way home from a shoot in Sri Lanka I stopped off in India, a few days after arriving I found myself riding a 350cc Royal Enfield around the Ladakh region. I was instantly in love. Ladakh combines the high altitude (13000+ feet just at the airport!) landscapes of bolivia with the rugged mountain peaks of Alaska. I found my new favorite place in the world. The highlight of the trip was attempting (I'm adventures but not stupid) to take the Royal Enfield up to the highest road pass in the world. Unfortunately it was a little to early in the season and somewhere around 17,000 feet I had to turn back after encountering solid sheets of ice. I was one switch back away from the top! Oh well, just gives me an excuse to return.

I have been spending more time having adventures, then telling the internet about such adventures. This is a good thing. I spent most of March / April in Sri Lanka and then India. Sri Lanka was partly for work and partly for fun. Here are some still from my personal travels around Sri Lanka. What a fascinating place.

Believe it or not, one of my goals for this year was to travel less so I could be in NYC more (no no, its not that I don't want to travel at all... I'm just trying to limit myself so I can be engaged in the wonderful and creative city I live in). Its only 2 months into the new year and I have already been to Hong Kong and the Philippines! However this was definietly in my "worth it" category! Here are a few photos from a walk around HK.

Now that winter is here, I'm finally catching up on a ton of computer work, blogging, updating...blah blah blah. This past fall has been nonstop, both work and travel wise. After returning from Alaska, I decided last minute to take a 2 week camping trip with my best bud Ryan (who lives in Chicago and who I dont get to see nearly enough). We flew out to Denver, rented a Fait 500 (if you know of it, you are probably laughing at the thought of two grow men driving it) then drove around the wild west for a few weeks. We headed up to Glacier National Park and then made our way south through Yellow Stone and Grand Tentons. Amazing. Here are a few photos.
