Two weekends ago i headed up to Torino, Italy for the 2006 winter games. I filmed a short pod for Current TV on my trip. I profiled my firned matt and his quest to make it ot the games. I filmed thrusday night and friday. I edited the piece on saturday and sunday. After getting approve from Current the piece was finished monday. Here is the crazy part. Current figured out a compression system that allowed me to compress my video file small enough that i could actually send it over Instant Messegner to them. WIthin a week from when i started shooting this piece it was completed, cleared legally and airing on TV. This workflow blew my mind. I know things like this exsist but to be involved with a workflow like this when its still fiarly new is awesome. I know in 10 years i’m going to look back and realize i was right there on the front of the new technology, pretty cool.
