With the election less than one week away I figured I’d take a minute to do an update before I got carried away. I just put up two IFC election videos (although both are from earlier this year). The first one is entitled “The Anatomy Of A Campaign Worker” and takes a look at campaign volunteers. It also interviews Obama’s New Media Team. The second one entitled “The Press Squeeze” takes a look at all the media hype this election cycle. More videos can be viewed at IFC.com

Also, the new music video / short film for Bill Madden is completed. The video is for the song Unfair off of Madden’s new CD “Child of the Same God.” The video will be making its world premiere in Paris at the Le Festival International du Film d’Environnement. I hope to finally get all my photography up on this site sometime this winter.

With the race heating up I was busy this past week covering some GOP events in the DC / Philadelphia area. Despite all the election coverage this month, I was able to find some time to take a trip to Mexico City. I was sick for the first few days but managed to snap off a bunch of photographs, which are on my blog. In case you are reading this down the road, here are the direct links. Also, on November 12th at 7 PM I have a short super8mm film about The Amazing Barry Silver screening at the First Person Arts Documentary and Memoir Festival (Screening at the Painted Bride Art Center.) I’ve been struggling to find time to post an update. A few weeks ago Down The Hatch screened as the opening film of the Coney Island Film Festival. I went out to Coney Island for the screening and after party. I’ve been to a fair share of film festivals and I gotta say Coney Island may have been one of the most unique and entertaining. An open bar and live performances made the after party pretty memorable. Then, once again in complete contrast, a few days after the festival I covered the VP debate for the IFC. I posted a few pictures on my blog.

What a wild two and a half weeks. First I was in Denver for the DNC, then St. Paul for the RNC and finally I stopped in Chicago on my way home to visit some friends and take a little R&R. The DNC and RNC were definitely interesting events to cover. (See pictures on my blog.) Plus being there in person for Obama’s acceptance speech was pretty remarkable. This Tuesday (Sept. 16th) at 9pm there will be a 20 minute special airing on the IFC. Make sure to check it out.

In other news. I have some work screening tonight at the The 6th Annual Bike Part Art Show Benefit at Studio 34 (4522 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia, PA) My films will be screening around 7pm. The art show benefits Neighborhood Bike Works, which is one of my favorite non-profits. The Bike Part Art Show is always an interesting event to go to, so if you are in the Philadelphia area make sure to check it out.
